Inspiring The People We Touch
Ithemba Lobomi is a non-profit organisation based in the community of Thembalethu, in George in the Southern Western Cape. The organisation was founded in 2007 in order to tackle the high rate of HIV, AIDS & TB within the community and to alleviate the impact of the burden of disease faced by the families and by the health and social services.
Ithemba Lobomi envisions a community of Thembalethu where everyone, both young and old, is empowered to lead healthy and pro-active lives.
To provide essential care services to the community of Thembalethu in order to alleviate the impact of the burden of disease and improve physcho-social well-being.
We hold these close to ourselves and live them daily:
RESPECT: Considering all other views even if they are different.
CARE: Assiting those in need, with an aim to support them.
PROFESSIONALISM: Working to a high standard guided by Ithemba Lobomi policy and keeping confidentiality.
EMPOWERING: Striving to capacitate ourselves and the community towards independence.
TRUST: Relying on each other to do the right thing within Ithemba Lobomi and the community.
PASSION: Working hard to achieve positive results.
